During my last travel in australia at the end of april 2010, i have the opportunity to attend to a serie of Aboriginal ceremonies in the south east of australia which take place all along the Darling and Murray river.
This event has great significance for the three Aboriginal nations who organize each night  a new ceremony at a different place along these two rivers from Murra murra in the south of Queesland to the mouth of murray river in south australia.
These dances aim to reconnect them to their land, bring the rain waters back to the river which suffered from drought in the last years, and  gather Aboriginal people and white people to go on the path of reconciliation and better future water management .
This festival is called Murrundu ruwe pangari ringbalin was started by Ngarrindjeri people who lived near Meningie  located near the Corrong and probably be renewed the next year at the same period

Year 2009:

The paleobox annual meeting took place in collaboration with the museum of Orgnac in Ardèche during the week end of the 5 and 6 september 2009. I took part to this event with a group of people intested in primitives technologies.
Saturday has been dedicated to free exchange between  people and exchange of natural materials.
 sunday has been dedicated to present workshop of different primitive skill to the public: firemaking,  bronze smithing, flint knapping,ect
I presented myself a small collection of throwing stick and boomerang and give explanation about the wood crafting of these objects, trying to answer to people question about these prehistoric implements.



The heritage cultural days  at the archeosite of Neuilly sur Marne the 19 and 20 september 2009 where i installed a experimental crafting session to try to tune some throwing sticks with fire and heat interacting with visitor of the park.
Sunday the evnet continued with demonstrations of throwing stick flight and boomerang throwing.

Year2008:

In 2008 the boomerang world championship took place in Seattle in USA. Our French -australian team OZFROGS done well finishing to the rank 9th on twenty team, having a lot of fun in a cool but emulating atmosphere. The overwhole event was a sucess with the german team wining the team event and Frido keeping his place of world champion. Waiting the next world championship in roma in 2010.

The festival of "RABBITSTICK" of primitive technology took place in the Idaho state near Rexburg in USA and  deserve to be know to all who are interested by primitive crafting skills.
During a week in a camping site near  the fresh snake river, took place exchange and true courses concerning a huge panel of primitive techniques coming from differents ancient cultures in the world.
I remember the warmth of the fire started by friction under the stars !
Apart the fun and the survival use of some of these primitive techniques this festival and gathering of people on this theme is a true conservatory of  skills sometimes almost lost by traditionnal societies and a good place to do experiment to bring light on archeology finding.
I share with you fews photos and commentary on the 2008 event to which i took part during my extended  travel through west USA after the world boomerang championship held in seattle.

The "Aboriginal dream" music festival is the biggest didjeridu festival in france taking place at the small village Airvault each year in july. You could discover here didjeridoo, jew's harp and diphonic singing sound and with me some boomerang crafting and throwing too. A lot of music workshop are available during these three days and you can camp there. one must !
This year we renew our plywood boomerang crafting workshop with Eddie Mittelette where you can craft and throw you own boomerang
Another guy Luc cormier will be here to sell boomerang and painting.

Année 2011

Mediation from the 8th to 12th august 2011 at the museum of Carnac, morbihan around the throwing stick and neolithic crooked stick, a symbole represented on numerous breton megalithic monuments.
Experimental crafting of throwing stick in the courtyard of the museum, exposition of my personnal collection and explanation to the visitors about this prehistoric throwing weapon.
Session of throwing demonstration and initiation for visitors in the afternoon with throwing sticks and boomerangs.

Here are some events around boomerang, throwing stick, didjeridu, Australian Aboriginal culture, and primitive technologies which are important for me. I have already participated or wish to take part to theses events. I will try to present them and share my feeling about them with you.
